These terms cover two audiences: the detailing businesses (“Shops”) who subscribe to Shinely software, and the car owners who book a Shop through Shinely. By creating a Shinely account, subscribing to a plan, booking a service, or opting in to texts, you agree to these terms.
Shop subscriptions (Shinely plans)
Shinely is offered to Shops on three month-to-month plans — Starter ($49/mo), Pro ($99/mo), and Premium ($149/mo) — each including unlimited team members. Plans may also be billed annually.
- Free trial:new accounts start a 14-day free trial with no card required. If you don’t subscribe by the end of the trial, your account becomes read-only until you choose a plan — your data is retained.
- Billing & cancellation:paid plans renew automatically each period until canceled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & billing (via the Stripe customer portal); access continues through the end of the paid period, and you are not billed again after canceling.
- Refunds: payments are non-refundable except where required by law; because there is a free trial and month-to-month billing, we do not pro-rate partial periods.
- Your data is yours: the customer, vehicle, job, and financial records you enter belong to your Shop. You can export your data, and we will make it available for a reasonable period after cancellation before deletion.
- Payments to you: when you connect your own Stripe account, card payments from your customers settle directly to your bank — Shinely takes no percentage and adds no markup, and never holds your funds.
- Acceptable use: you agree to use Shinely lawfully, to send messages only to contacts who have consented, and to comply with SMS/email regulations (TCPA, CAN-SPAM) when you market to your customers.
Messaging program
By providing your mobile number when booking, you agree to receive transactional appointment text messages from the Shop — confirmations, reminders, and “on the way” notifications related to your appointment. This is not a marketing program.
- Message frequency: varies — typically a few messages per appointment.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time to stop messages.
- Help: reply HELP, or contact the Shop directly.
- Carriers: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Bookings & payment
Booking a service requests an appointment with the Shop. Pricing, deposits, and cancellation policies are set by each Shop and shown during booking. Payment for services is handled directly between you and the Shop.
Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information and to use the booking page only for legitimate appointment requests.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is.” Shinely provides the software; the Shop is responsible for the detailing services it performs. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.
